Cabo...Last Day

We have had a wonderful time in Cabo! We head home today (Tuesday) and we can't wait to see the kiddos! Here are a few final pictures from our last full day here in Cabo (Monday).

Erick at the marina in Cabo San Lucas.

Here are some baby sea turtles hatching. The hotel we stayed at incubates the eggs and then once they hatch, they have a "release" ceremony out on the beach. We got to see it happen twice while here. It is amazing how those itty bitty baby turtles know right where to go...straight into those huge crashing waves!!

A view of our hotel from the beach. Our balcony was on the second row from the top, first one on the right side of the structure. Great view!!

Erick and I on the beach.

Our final meal....at Edith's in Cabo San Lucas. It was absolutely beautiful there and the food was amazing!

Cabo 3rd Day

We were able to have the blessing of watching a sunrise from our balcony this a.m. It was awful early to get up, but so worth it to see God's majesty & beauty!

Can I get an AMEN?!?

Cabo...2nd Day

Our second day in Cabo began with sleeping in a bit, a yummy breakfast and then a workout in the gym at our resort (Erick really had to push me to do that)! We then spent most of they day out by the pools/ocean.

This is a view of one of the pools from our lounge chairs...you can see the ocean in the background.

Erick chillin' in the pool!

Relaxing!

Then, we headed back to our room, cleaned up and headed out to dinner in Cabo San Lucas.

We ate dinner at THE OFFICE on the beach in Cabo San Lucas. Delicious, fresh seafood!! Erick had octopus and I had lobster. We sat on the beach with our toes buried in the sand!! Great meal!

Cabo...First Day

Our flight to Cabo yesterday was great. I slept most of the way (thanks to two xanax), but when I was awake, it was so smooth! Thanks for all the prayers. I am going to try and upload pics to the blog every day or so, so the kids back home can see how we're doing!

This is the open-air lobby of our resort.

They greeted us with a margarita at the front desk...I think I'm gonna like this place! : )
By the way, we are staying in the building directly behind Erick overlooking the ocean. The architecture and colors of this place are awesome!

A view from our balcony...

Looking down from our balcony at the Sea of Cortez (Pacific Ocean).

And one last balcony view!
It is hot here...but I guess that's what we want for laying out and swimming. I would have to say one of the best parts about yesterday was Erick and I both getting to take a 2 hour nap in the afternoon...I miss taking naps at home and it was delightful!!!

Adios for now!!

Spencer's Birthday at the Pumpkin Patch #1

We went to the Pumpkin Patch last Saturday to celebrate Spencer's first birthday. The next two posts are just a few snapshots of the celebration. This first picture is my favorite! And for some darn reason, I can't get it to rotate correctly. But even looking at it sideways, you can see how handsome my little man is!

Of course, Natalie and Will had a blast too! Feeding the animals in the petting zoo, going on a hayride, eating lunch, etc!

And they all had to ride the train. Natalie is holding Spencer in the 2nd cart and Will is two carts behind them.

Look at that cute little sly grin...he knew the good stuff was coming...

CAKE! He tore into that sucker! Neither Natalie nor Will would ever really touch their smash cake...we had to force their hands down into it (to get a cute picture, of course). Spencer was a pro!!

Spencer's Birthday at the Pumpkin Patch #2

My boy got momma's sweet tooth! Yum-o!

And here's the cake for the rest of us...

At home and ready to open presents...

I think he enjoyed crawling around among all the paper and ribbons more than playing with any gift he got!

Look at all this stuff...I'm gonna be writing alot of thank you notes! : )

Date Night with Will

This past Saturday night was the annual Mother-Son Dance in our city. Well, this was Will's first year to be old enough to attend...and he would have NONE of it! So, I asked him if he just wanted to go on a date instead! I'm so glad he agreed! One-on-one time with each kiddo is so nice!

When I asked Will where he wanted to go, he named one of my favorite mexican food restaurants! Score for momma! He loves this special queso they have there...it has guacamole, beef and sour cream mixed into the cheese. Yum!

Then, sweet Will wanted to use a gift card he had got...to Target! He loves riding with the windows rolled down...look at that sweet face (and yes, I did snap the pic while driving...I just had to capture that pure joy on his face)!

He picked out several treats at Target!

And this was him a few minutes outside of the Target parking lot! All worn out! What a special evening with my precious Will!!

Happy First Birthday, Spencer!

One year ago today, my precious Spencer Bishop made his arrival at 7:53 a.m. He was perfect...dark wavy hair, olive skin and chubby cheeks! We did not know that "he" was going to be a "he!" But, Erick and I both thought we were having another boy. What a blessing he has been to our family...he completed our family! Here are a few pics from his first few days...

"It's a BOY!"

Our family of five for the first time!

My cherub

LOVE this picture of the three of them!

And just look at me now!!

Spencer is definitely all boy...he hits things, throws things and climbs anything he can! He loves to eat table food (like brother and sissy) and he adores his bath time. He tries to follow bubba and sissy wherever they go (although the gates momma put up make that a little hard!). He is letting go of whatever he is holding on to and will stand for a second or so. And, he walks along the couch holding on! I am not ready for him to walk yet...he already gets into EVERYTHING while crawling!

Spencer...you are an amazing blessing to our family! You bring so much joy and happiness. I love watching you grow and learn new things every day. I hope this next year finds you covered in the blessings of health, safety, happiness and laughter! You are my angel!

Love...Momma

PS...Will be posting pics of his birthday party at the pumpkin patch in a day or two!!

Natalie's Heaven

Today, sweet Natalie and I had a discussion about Heaven.

The discussion came about because Natalie's kindergarten teacher (from last year) lost her father this weekend. Natalie came home from school and told me Mrs. H's dad had passed away. She was saying how Mrs. H would get to see him again soon in Heaven. I told her that was right and she responded, "Man, I can't wait to go to Heaven! I bet it's gonna have streets made out of Krackel and I hope it has lots of those toe nail places!" I asked her what exactly she meant and she said, "Streets made of chocolate and I can get a pedicure whenever I want!"

Sounds like Heaven to me!

Sleepy Boys

I was running to the post office today with the boys and this was them about 5 minutes into the trip!  I had to take a picture!

Poor Will is sick with a bad cold/cough and Spencer really doesn't sleep during the day unless we're in the car.

Is that precious or what?!?

Baby Boy is 11 Months Old!

My sweet baby boy, Spencer, turned 11 months old this past Friday. I can not believe how fast his first year has flown by!

He is in to EVERYTHING...playing in the potty, climbing up the stairs (and falling back down...oops), grabbing cups full of coffee, etc. I can't take my eyes off of him for 2 seconds! I never had this issue with the other two, so it's driving me insane!! I guess #3 just wants to keep up with the other two. He pulls up on everything and I know his first step will happen any day now.

Here he is doing his favorite thing...

EATING!!!

And his second favorite thing...
BATHING!!!

And just for old times sake (and to embarrass myself), here is me exactly a year ago! Can you say HUGE?!? I was so miserable!

Much better to be chasing an 11 month old around the house than carrying that little sucker around in my belly!!

Game #1

The Piranhas had their first game this past Saturday! Will did great and Coach Mida didn't do too bad either. : )

At first, this was Will's constant expression..
"UMMM...I'm not too sure about this..."

Lining up to kick off...
Go #30!!

Team spirit...GO PIRANHAS!

Artist of the Day & My Dear Friends

Below is my budding artist. He decided to use himself as a canvas! This occurred after we had a discussion earlier in the week that ink is to ONLY go on paper. The discussion came about as a result of him drawing all over the chaise lounge cover with a ball point pen.

I'll take drawing on his tummy any day over the furniture!!

Below are some of my dearest friends...I just had to post the picture!
Melanie, me, Kate and Elizabeth
Love y'all!

Why I Run...

This is why I run....

My father-in-law (Harry) was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma a few weeks ago and he began chemo last week.

Uncle Easwar

Harry's (my father-in-law) brother, Easwar, came to visit this week and check in on Harry. The kiddos and I met him for the first time yesterday. He came bearing gifts for the kiddos, Erick and I all the way from London (where he lives with his wife). We had a great time with Easwar and hope to see him again before too long!
